How It Works
Birds do not have taste receptors that respond to capsaicin, the chemical compound responsible for the "hot" sensation in chili peppers. However, squirrels and other mammals visiting your feeders will certainly feel the burn and be deterred from trying this seed. 

Be sure to avoid touching your face and wash your hands after handling the product. This product contains a strong eye, nose and skin irritant (hot pepper). Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling and keep out of reach of children.
