August 8th 10am-2pm: Story Time & Vendor Market at the Spring Park Inn
Bring the whole family for crafts activities and local vendors as author Abby Moore Keith reads her book Wild Things of the Upstate on the porch of the Historic Spring Park Inn. Story times at 10am, 11am, & 1pm
August 15th 7am - 12pm or 8:00am-10:30am: GCBC Birding Walk at Conestee Nature Preserve
Join the Greenville County Birding Club (GCBC) on one of their third Saturday monthly walks. Choose from a longer or shorter excursion. Open to members and the public these walks are a great way to get meet other birding enthusiasts and hone your skills. To sign up follow the details listed on their website here.
August 22nd 10am-11am: Great Southeastern Pollinator Census
Explore the beautiful gardens of the Historic Kilgore-Lewis House and tour the home while contributing to one of the fastest growing citizen science projects of the southeast. Learn about local pollinators and the valuable plants they depend on for nectar and pollination. Go home with a better understanding of native habitats and how to conduct your own census at home. All data collected will be submitted to the University of Georgia database along with counts from five other southeastern states. Save this event to your calendar here!
